PSB & CHINA-MALAYSIA QINZHOU INDUSTRIAL PARK (CMQIP) TO COLLABORATE ON HALAL INDUSTRIAL PARK DEVELOPMENT

Perbadanan Ekonomi Islam Perak Sdn. Bhd. (PSB), the economic arm of Majlis Agama Islam dan ‘Adat Melayu Perak (MAIPk), are actively seeking to drive initiatives in strengthening food security-availability, access, utilization, and stability of food security with the addition of Halal excellence.

In line with the Perak Sejahtera 2030 agenda to build a resilient, inclusive, and competitive state economy, PSB is actively positioning Perak as a key player in the global Halal value chain. Through strategic initiatives that enhance food security and foster Halal excellence, PSB supports the state’s aspirations for sustainable economic growth.

On 10 April 2025, PSB and Guangxi China-Malaysia Qinzhou Industrial Park Investment Holding Group Co., Ltd. signed a strategic cooperation agreement for the Halal Food Industrial Park Project. This partnership aims to establish the China-Malaysia Halal Certification and Training Centre – a global hub for Halal certification, training, consulting, auditing, and information management.

The collaboration supports the “Two Countries, Twin Parks” initiative, deepening economic ties between Malaysia and China while positioning Malaysia’s Halal certification at the forefront of the global stage.

Together, PSB and CMQIP aspire to create a robust Halal ecosystem that can cater the increasing demands on the Halal certification worldwide.
